Sigma Service

    #GiveBACK

"Volunteering is my way of giving back to the community that has given me so much. It keeps me grounded and connected, and reminds me that even small acts of service can make a meaningful difference. I believe service is not just about helping others—it is about building stronger, more compassionate communities where people feel supported, seen, and valued.

Through my work with the United Services Organizations (USO), I have had the honor of supporting service members and their families by offering care, appreciation, and encouragement to those who sacrifice so much for our country. Volunteering with Big Brothers Big Sisters has shown me the power of mentorship and consistency, and how simply showing up can positively shape a young person’s confidence, goals, and future. At the El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, I have seen firsthand how access to food can restore dignity and change lives, especially for families facing difficult circumstances.

I also participate in highway clean-up community service, which allows me to take pride in caring for the shared spaces we all use every day. Keeping our roadways clean and safe is a simple but impactful way to show respect for our environment and our city.

Each of these experiences has reinforced my belief that giving back does not require grand gestures—only time, compassion, and a genuine willingness to serve. Volunteering fuels my passion for helping others and reminds me that when we lift up our neighbors, we all rise together."
